Accelerating AI in clinical care: policy priorities of the 2025 HHS request for information

Abstract
A U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Request for Information seeks input on “Accelerating the Adoption and Use of Artificial Intelligence as Part of Clinical Care.” This solicitation could impact future policies on regulation, reimbursement, and research, with emphasis on AI governance and implementation science. Using diabetes as an exemplar, this article examines emerging frameworks for AI‑enabled tools for continuous glucose monitoring, automated insulin delivery, and clinical decision support.
