Sheep wool carried benzophenones that may reach people through wool products
A study of raw wool from 50 sheep near Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, found benzophenone contaminants in every sample. The results suggest that wool can retain these chemicals over a sheep’s lifetime and may provide an indirect route of human exposure through wool products.
