Adding personal memories and news exposure shifted the estimates toward Democrats, but the resulting 18.7-point Democratic margin was well above the 8.7-point polling average, leaving the method’s predictive accuracy unresolved.

Three national surveys estimated that 4.9% of non-Hispanic white adults in the United States support white nationalism, including 13.5% of white men aged 18 to 29. Support was more common among people facing hardship, those with lower incomes and education, Republicans and conservatives, and people whose close friendships were mainly online.
