Shotgun metagenomic profiling of gut microbiota in control and time-restricted feeding human cohorts
Open access0 citations
Abstract
A prospective human cohort study was conducted to investigate the effects of time-restricted feeding (TRF) on the gut microbiota. Participants were assigned to either the control (CTRL) group or the TRF group. The TRF group underwent a 21-day time-restricted feeding intervention, whereas the CTRL group maintained their habitual dietary patterns. Fecal samples were collected from participants in both groups and subjected to shotgun metagenomic sequencing to characterize the taxonomic composition and functional potential of the gut microbiota.
