Necessary Conditions for Shock Solutions to a Hyperelastoplastic Model

Abstract

We propose a formulation of hyperelastoplasticity such that one can pass to the limit regime of rate-independent plasticity. It results in a family of modified entropy inequalities. A key ingredient is the Hencky logarithmic plastic tensor. A discussion of possible shock solutions is provided.
