A lithium-niobate chip stores quantum signals in four time slots
Researchers used erbium-doped thin-film lithium niobate to build an on-chip quantum memory for telecom-band signals. It stored four time-bin modes and recovered single-photon-level qubits with 96.8% fidelity, although its storage efficiency was 1.95%.
