BV pushforward of Palatini–Cartan gravity
Abstract The goal of this note is to show that the standard BV formulation of gravity in the Palatini–Cartan formalism is equivalent, using a BV pushforward, to an AKSZ-like version compatible with BFV data on the boundary.

Stationary entanglement of a levitated oscillator with an optical field
Stationary entanglement between the motion of macroscopic objects and light is a long-standing goal of quantum optomechanics, with implications for both fundamental tests of quantum physics and emerging quantum technologies. We report the generation of quantum entanglement betwee...

Anomalous Transport in the Fermi-Pasta-Ulam-Tsingou Model: A Review and Open Problems
Abstract This review provides an up-to-date account of energy transport in Fermi-Pasta-Ulam-Tsingou (FPUT) chains, a key testbed for nonequilibrium statistical physics. We discuss the transition from the historical puzzle of thermalization to the discovery of anomalous heat trans...

Probing near-surface potentials with the self-binding threshold of dipolar quantum droplets
Abstract Self-bound quantum droplets formed by strongly magnetic atoms are a platform for quantum metrology experiments. Here, we form a theoretical framework wherein external potentials generated in the interior of a hollow cylinder can be observed via modification of the format...

A digital version of Rossi's coincidence circuit
After more than a century since their discovery, cosmic rays remain a very active and fascinating research field and the coincidence method developed in those early studies is still a fundamental tool in experimental nuclear and particle physics. In this paper, Bruno Rossi's coin...

Hydrodynamics of perfect fluids with anomalies from the fermionic path integral
A bstract The path integral of the Dirac fermion with vector and axial gauge backgrounds is analyzed near the infrared limit in the presence of residual irrelevant current-current interaction. After integrating out fermions, a semiclassical low-energy effective action is obtained...

Shape coexistence in 94Zr from a model-independent analysis
Low-lying states of 94Zr were investigated via low-energy multi-step Coulomb excitation. From the measured γ-ray yields, 16 reduced E2 transition probabilities between low-spin states were determined, together with the spectroscopic quadrupole moments of the 2+1,2 states. Based o...
