Abstract

Abstract Background: Eosinophilic Bronchitis (EB) is defined as airway inflammation with mildly productive cough and an excess of eosinophil count. The patient shows normal lung function test. The sputum analysis shows increased eosinophil count. EB is one of the most common causes of chronic cough. Case: This paper describes a case of a 30-year-old female who visited the homeopathic outpatient department. She presented with a complaint of cough since 6 months with an elevated absolute eosinophil count (AEC) of 955 cells/cumm. After detailed history taking, an individualized antipsoric homeopathic remedy using 50 millesimal potency was prescribed. The patient was symptomatically relieved with reduction in the level of AEC to 200 cells/cumm was observed. Conclusion: This case provides evidence-based data to prove the impact of homoeopathy with 50 millesimal potency.
