Kinetic simulation of the glow curve and isothermal decay in the thermoluminescence of LiF:Mg,Ti: the spatially correlated trapping center/luminescent center model
Abstract
The spatially correlated trapping center/luminescent center (TC/LC) kinetic model is used to simulate the relative intensities of glow peaks 4, 5a, 5 and 5b in the thermoluminescence (TL) of LiF:Mg,Ti as well as their isothermal decay from 0 to 900 s at 160 °C. The results show the ability of the model to simulate these thermally associated characteristics using the same peak specific kinetic parameter set for all dwell time conditions. The simulations show that defect reactions and other thermally induced processes leading to changes in the structure of the TCs and LCs are not required to simulate the TL mechanisms giving rise to these peaks within the present TC/LC simulation framework.
