Embodied Biographical Alignment (EBA) v0.2.2: Integration ≠ Retrieval?

Open access0 citations

Abstract

This research note examines a focused question within Embodied Biographical Alignment (EBA): whether the effects of a developmental history can be reduced to retrieval or transfer of information about that history. Existing research on knowledge and policy distillation, representation transfer, training-history dependence, continual learning, and optimizer-state transfer provides experimental results and methods that intersect with this question. Rather than evaluating these works against EBA, the note identifies specific points of contact and considers how their experimental constructions can inform tests of developmental equivalence. The central question remains empirical: which causally relevant effects of a developmental history can be reproduced through known transfer mechanisms, and which, if any, depend on additional components of the developmental trajectory?
