Abstract

ABSTRACT Photonic spiking neural networks (PSNNs) leverage inherently discrete and event‐driven operations, thereby serving as a promising architecture for optical digital logic. However, limited physical degrees of freedom in current schemes often lead to non‐standardized encoding methods, thereby preventing the realization of diverse logic functions under a unified programmable framework. Here, we propose, experimentally demonstrate, and theoretically substantiate a multi‐wavelength injection strategy using a single intensity‐modulated Fabry–Pérot (FP) laser to successfully reconfigure all eight fundamental Boolean logic functions. Exploiting the FP laser's excitatory neuromorphic dynamics under temporally coincident multi‐wavelength optical injection, a four‐wavelength injection scheme is devised, comprising two primary logic inputs, alongside programmable calibration and compensation channels. By precisely engineering the total injected power through clock‐signal manipulation, flexible and reconfigurable digital logic operations are achieved via auxiliary‐channel control under fixed input‐port definitions. Comprehensive evaluations of repeatability, noise robustness, and calibrability thoroughly verify the platform's operational reliability. Benefiting from this robust computational foundation, the system is subsequently exploited to perform functional tasks, including image edge detection, fusion, as well as encryption and decryption. The proposed strategy provides a versatile, high‐speed, and energy‐efficient framework for optical digital computing, representing a significant step toward scalable photonic logic neuromorphic processors.
