Abstract
Abstract The reaction of α-iodoalkyldifluoroboranes with copper(II) carboxylates affords α-acyloxyalkyldifluoroboranes. In this process, the high Lewis acidity of alkyldifluoroboranes constitutes the driving force for the formation of a tetracoordinate boron intermediate, as suggested by 11B NMR spectroscopy analysis, which is an important intermediate in the formation of the desired products.
