Bonn zoological Bulletin 71 (1): 69-76, DOI: 10.20363/BZB-2022.71.1.069, URL: http://dx.doi.org/10.20363/bzb-2022.71.1.069 Abstract. A revised diagnosis of the genus Trynocoris Herring, 1976 is presented and a new species, Trynocoris costaricaensis sp. nov., is described based on specimens collected in Costa Rica. Colour photographs of the adult and illustrations of the male genitalia are provided for the new species. Scanning electron micrographs of selected structures of the new species are also given.
