Open access0 citations

Abstract

Abstract Generation Z represents a generation influenced by digital technology, globalization, scientific advancement and changing social values. This study examines the perception, awareness and acceptance of Gen Z towards Sanatan Dharma's religious, traditional and cultural practices. Sanatan Dharma is not limited to rituals but represents a comprehensive knowledge system including yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, ethical values and environmental consciousness. These practices developed through the wisdom of ancient Indian Rishis and sages have contemporary relevance. The study explores whether Gen Z understands these practices through scientific perspectives and whether this generation can act as a bridge between ancient Sanatan knowledge and future generations, especially Gen Alpha and Gen Beta. The research also highlights the importance of educational policies in including scientifically validated Indian knowledge systems in modern education. The study suggests that presenting traditional knowledge with scientific explanations can increase acceptance among young generations and help preserve cultural continuity.
