Clinical academic careers need structural integration, not individual endurance
Open access0 citations
Abstract
Clinical academics are often described as “bilingual” professionals, moving between discovery and care.1 Yet for many, the difficulty is not fluency across two languages, but the absence of a system that allows both to be spoken at once. The experience of working across clinical and academic environments is often not seamless integration, but persistent tension and a sense of never fully belonging in either world.
