Splenic Epstein-Barr Virus-Positive Inflammatory Follicular Dendritic Cell Sarcoma：Report of One Case.

Abstract

Splenic Epstein-Barr virus-positive inflammatory follicular dendritic cell sarcoma （EBV+IFDCS） is a rare low-grade malignant tumor typically associated with Epstein-Barr virus infection.Most patients are asymptomatic，and the splenic mass is often discovered incidentally during routine physical examinations.A minority of patients may present with symptoms such as abdominal distension or pain.Due to the lack of specific clinical manifestations，early diagnosis of EBV+IFDCS is challenging.Pathological examination is the gold standard for the diagnosis of splenic EBV+IFDCS.This article reports a case of splenic EBV+IFDCS and discusses its clinicopathological features with a review of the related literature.
