Abstract

This seminal BRPT paper presents ‘The Virus as Persistent Information,’ offering a unified informational reading of viral evolution that rigorously redefines viruses not merely as molecular structures, but as ‘temporally persistent information patterns’ (𝐼𝑣). Moving beyond conventional ‘Cold Logic’ reliance on purely physical descriptions, this work systematically explores how viral survival fundamentally hinges on maintaining sufficient host compatibility through intricate evolutionary strategies. It frames the core concept of genetic information persisting through changing physical carriers as central to understanding long-horizon viral adaptation.
