CHARGE WITHOUT CHARGE: THE TRANS-BRANE MASS-ASYMMETRY RULE AND NUCLEON STRUCTURE (XIV v4)

Open access0 citations

Abstract

The standard model of particle physics treats electric charge, quark flavor, and lepton number as independent, fundamental quantum numbers. In the Folded Crunch Dipole – Reversed Big Bang (FCD-RBv4) pregeometric framework, we propose that the two observed light quark modes — up and down — are not distinct particle species but the two stable asymmetric mass-distribution states of a single fundamental Einstein-Rosen (ER) dipole of total mass M = 3m. In Mode A (conventionally up), the visible brane carries 1/3 of M, while the mirror brane holds 2/3. In Mode B (down), the assignment is reversed. Electric charge is not an intrinsic substance but the geometric signature of this trans-brane mass asymmetry, governed by the Trans-Brane Mass-Asymmetry Rule (TBMAR): Q visible = Ω·Q TBMAR where Q TBMAR = −(mirror-brane mass fraction). Reconstructing the proton (AAB) and neutron (ABB) dipoleby-dipole, we recover the correct charges and derive the mirror-nucleon correspondence: under CPT (brane reflection), the proton mirrors to an antineutron and the neutron to an antiproton, providing an electromagnetically dark mirror-matter sector. Using the observed cosmic baryon composition (p/n ≈ 7 : 1), the resulting mirror-to-visible mass ratio is computed as exactly 1.155, tightly correlated with visible baryonic structure. The m u /m d = 1/2 prediction is shown to be a first-order approximation, corrected to 0.46 by the double-well minimum of Part XXVI, matching the PDG value within 1%. Finally, we detail how the original purely metric sign rule of Part XIV was refined in Parts XXIII and XXIV via the global helicity orientation parameter Ω = ±1 to lift the charge degeneracy of topological inversion
