When History Becomes Geometry: On the Emergence of Processual Memory

Abstract

This article develops a relational account of semantic space within the Four Chamber Model, treating space not as a pre-existing container but as an order produced by relational structure. Chamber-specific polyhedral geometries are interpreted as generative principles of lattice structures whose recurrence across scales yields fractally organized semantic geometries. Across successive cycles, geometrical type can recur without restoring an identical semantic state. This provides a basis for processual memory: higher-order symmetry may be re-established while differentiations generated in preceding traversals remain preserved within subordinate levels of the fractal organization. Processual memory can support the stabilization of semantic attractors, which in turn shape semantic curvature and bias subsequent trajectories. The model thus links generated space, recurrence, memory, attraction, and curvature within a single developmental architecture.
