RESIST Terassa_posters_Catalunya_3
Abstract
The poster Inclusive Futures: Citizen Dialogues on Heat Adaptation presents the qualitative and participatory research process developed in Terrassa by the Open University of Catalonia as part of the RESIST project to promote more inclusive adaptation to extreme heat. It synthesises a methodology based on three phases -ethnographic fieldwork, citizen dialogues, and a final public dialogue- combining qualitative research, participatory processes, and collaboration with the local administration to identify vulnerabilities, incorporate the experiences of often underrepresented groups, and co-create proposals to strengthen local resilience and adaptation to extreme heat.
