Qualitative Data Sharing with Care: A Concise Guide

Open access0 citations

Abstract

Created by the Materialising Open Research Practices in the Humanities and Social Sciences (MORPHSS) project, this resource offers guidance on how to make decisions around whether and how to share qualitative data in ways that carefully negotiate the needs and requirements of different actor groups. It is aimed at anyone who is considering sharing qualitative research data but is unsure where to start, or whether data sharing is even possible for their project. This resource draws on work conducted by the MORPHSS project, including a series of interviews with qualitative researchers about their decision-making processes around data sharing.
