Coinfection of Two Endemics – Scrub Typhus and Malaria
0 citations
Abstract
ABSTRACT: Malaria and scrub typhus are both significant causes of acute febrile illness in the Indian subcontinent. Due to their overlapping clinical manifestations, it can be a challenge to distinguish between the two. Coinfection, although rarely seen, may lead to greater disease severity and adverse clinical outcomes. Here, we report a rare occurrence of malaria and scrub typhus coinfection and its presentation.
