Recent Advances in Stereoselecive and Enantioselective Difluoromethylation
Abstract
The difluoromethyl (CF 2 H) group is a valuable fluorinated motif widely utilized in medicinal and material chemistry owing to its unique physicochemical characteristics. This review systematically summarizes recent advances in stereoselective difluoromethylation, classifies the relevant strategies into four catalytic/controlling categories, and discusses their stereocontrol mechanisms and existing technical bottlenecks. The future development trends of this field are also prospected, providing a systematic reference for the further design and application of chiral difluoromethylated compounds.
