16S rRNA sequencing of subgingival plaque microbiomes in RA patients by ACPA status and healthy controls

Abstract

This project investigates the subgingival plaque microbiome in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and healthy controls using 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing of the 338F-806R region. The dataset comprises 64 subgingival plaque samples collected in China, including 28 samples from ACPA-positive RA patients, 14 from ACPA-negative RA patients, and 22 from healthy controls. The data are intended to characterize differences in oral microbial community composition among the three groups and support studies of the associations between the subgingival microbiome, RA, and ACPA status.
