Abstract

This comprehensive engineering specification details the complete architecture, physics, and autonomous operation of a closed-loop Solar-Thermal Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) Desalination Node designed for extreme arid environments. The system integrates four synergistic subsystems: (1) Membrane-free MHD seawater separation via Lorentz-force ionic deflection, (2) Cascading Multi-Effect Distillation (MED) thermal recovery powered by high-concentration parabolic troughs, (3) Solid-state Direct Air Carbon Capture (DAC) using temperature-swing amine sorbents regenerated by waste heat, and (4) A unified Python simulation engine executing all coupled physics without abstraction or stubs. The design achieves maximum exergy efficiency, eliminates mechanical fouling, and creates a self-sustaining nexus of fresh water production and atmospheric CO₂ mitigation in off-grid arid deployment zones.
