UnlockingSimple Hydroboranes for Selective C–HBorylation of (Hetero)arenes

Abstract

Abstract Control of borane speciation through Me2PhN·BH3 formation enables HBcat-mediated, metal-free C–H borylation of (hetero)arenes via an electrophilic aromatic substitution pathway. The process operates without external catalysts or additives and provides a sustainable platform for accessing organoboron motifs, highlighting the untapped potential of simple hydroboranes in selective C–H functionalization.
