Transition Windows and the Enabling of Organizational Re-selection

Abstract

Document status This is a post-corpus derived temporal hypothesis within the Human Restoration Theory (HRT) research program. It does not revise the bounded 14-publication canonical HRT architecture. It specifies a narrow, falsifiable question: whether functional transitions create temporary openings for organizational re-selection, and whether enabling conditions influence whether those openings are resolved through reinstatement of a prior compensatory organization or through access to an alternative task-support organization. Abstract Human Restoration Theory (HRT) requires a temporally specific account of both when condition-dependent organizational selection may become behaviorally observable and what permits an alternative to enter that interval rather than the immediate reinstatement of a prior solution. This paper defines a transition window as a bounded interval in which an established task-support organization loses sufficiency while a successor organization has not yet stabilized. It distinguishes opening from enabling: a transition creates a temporary necessity for re-selection, whereas enabling conditions determine whether that necessity is resolved through recurrence of the prior compensatory organization or through access to an alternative task-support organization. The paper defines controlled vocabulary, candidate temporal-enabling relations, an evidence architecture, falsification rules, and a minimum transition-enabling study protocol. Non-management is treated as a testable withdrawal of added command, correction, monitoring, and form-targeting; it is not a technique, a relaxation instruction, or a guarantee of reorganization. The document does not offer a diagnosis, treatment protocol, or universal account of motor learning. It distinguishes acute enabled responses from retention, transfer, and consolidation, and requires matched task criteria, competing explanations, and multimodal evidence. Relation to HRT This document is derived from and subordinate to the canonical HRT architecture. It extends the temporal question opened by *Predictability, Selection, and Transition v0.1* and interfaces with the derived hypotheses on the holding loop and regulatory trust.
