Research Program Overview: Bioenergetics of Membrane Homeostasis in Open Cellular Systems

Abstract

This document summarizes a theoretical research program proposing that maintenance of plasma membrane homeostasis can be understood as an integrated bioenergetic problem in an open nonequilibrium cellular system. The objective is not to replace molecular oncology but to provide a complementary systems-biophysics framework that generates experimentally testable hypotheses.
