NeuroType original self-reflection instruments: open methodology records

Abstract

Open methodology records for the five original self-reflection tools published by NeuroType at https://neurotype.app. Covers 5 instruments, 34 domains and 136 items. Each record documents the construct, the provenance, the domain structure with item counts, the response scale, the scoring procedure, the interpretation bands and the stated limitations. These are not validated clinical instruments. No psychometric validation has been carried out: no factor analysis, no reliability or validity coefficients, no normative sample and no clinical comparison group. They cannot diagnose, confirm or rule out any condition. This deposit documents their design so that it can be inspected, cited and criticised. It does not constitute or imply validation. Item wordings are not included in this deposit. Construct, structure, scoring and interpretation are. Three of the five tools exist in original wording because a published instrument was not available on terms the site could meet. A RAADS-R licence was sought and declined on cost, and the ASRS carries a World Health Organization copyright requiring permission that has not been granted. No score from these tools is comparable to a published scale, and each record states so.
