The Evolutionary Frameworks Project - The 15 Frameworks

Abstract

This document provides the first complete, canonical assignment of all fifteen theoretical frameworks within the Evolutionary Frameworks Project. It maps each framework into one of the five thematic clusters defined in the Master Outline (Version 1.0), establishing the structural organisation that guides preregistration, preprint release, methodological integration, and future theoretical development. The Evolutionary Frameworks Project is an open‑science initiative led by Kaya Genc, Silas Njiru John, and James Barkell, designed to produce interoperable, openly licensed theoretical frameworks across evolutionary biology, physiology, metabolism, biophysics, neuroscience, environmental biology, and systems science. This milestone document formalises the internal architecture of the project and ensures transparent, citable, and reproducible structure for all future releases. The five clusters and their assigned frameworks are: Cluster I - Evolutionary Biology & Adaptive Engines Evolutionary processes, trophic adaptation, carnivory, long‑term adaptive dynamics. Cluster II - Physiology, Metabolism & Biophysics Metabolic flux, physiological constraints, biophysical limits. Cluster III - Neuroscience & Behavioural Biology Neural energetics, behavioural adaptation, cognitive ecology. Cluster IV - Environmental Biology & Systems Ecology Environmental pressures, ecological flux, adaptive homeostasis. Cluster V - Integrative Systems Science & Conceptual Modelling Systems modelling, conceptual integration, theoretical synthesis. This document serves as a Publication Project Milestone within the Evolutionary Frameworks Project and complements the Charter, Master Outline, Glossary, and Open Science Workflow. It provides the definitive structural reference for the fifteen frameworks and supports their preregistration, versioning, and open scientific dissemination.
