Coherence Physics Research Program: A Living Map of SCFL/UCMS Operators, Evidence Status, and Open Replication Gaps

Abstract

A living scientific program map for the Standard Coherence Fidelity Layer (SCFL) and the Upstream Coherence Measurement Stratum (UCMS) research canon. This document distinguishes explicitly between established parent literatures (critical transitions, cascading failure, resilience engineering, topological data analysis) and SCFL’s specific, comparative contribution — a substrate-agnostic operator family (Drift, Stress, Seam, Ripple, Recoverability) for detecting structural coherence loss before visible failure. Evidence status is tracked via a dual-axis rubric (Theoretical Completeness T0–T3, Empirical Instrumentation E0–E3) rather than a single maturity score, distinguishing mathematical derivation from real-telemetry validation. The document catalogs its own failures and retractions alongside its results (including a corrected civilizational-coherence-vector formalization and flagged operators that failed synthetic ground-truth testing), and states directly, in its own Foreword, the strongest outstanding objection to the program: no result in this canon has yet been independently replicated by a party outside the originating team. An Executive Summary ranks the highest-leverage next steps toward closing that gap. Working case studies include the ERCOT February 2021 Winter Storm Uri event, ACTIVSg2000 synthetic grid contingency analysis, and a synthetic operator-validation suite against analytic ground truth.
