Comparative Genomic Analysis of Enterococcus lactis Strains Isolated from Healthy Human Feces
Open access0 citations
Abstract
Enterococcus lactis, known for its efficient adherence to intestinal epithelial cells and hepatoprotective properties, has mostly been isolated from fermented dairy products. The characteristics of human-sourced E. lactis strains remain largely unknown. In this study, we analyzed the probiotic characteristics and safety of E. lactis strains isolated from the faeces of a large cohort of healthy individuals at the genomic level.
