VITILIGO IN FOCUS: A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF ETIOLOGY, DIAGNOSIS AND MANAGEMENT

Abstract

In world about 0.5% -2% populations got affected by Vitiligo depigmenting cutaneous disorder. Vitiligo is characterized by loss of melanocytes like chalky white patches, non scaly macules. There are following main causes of Vitiligo first is reduced reaction to touch allergen second is the white epidermis people with albinism. The overall cause of Vitiligo is immune system illness has been topic of discussion after many years. It is an autoimmune disease with Even though many people think vitiligo is just a skin-color issue, it can actually cause serious emotional pain and make daily life very difficult. This review aims to provide study of current state of Vitiligo.the main treatment of Vitiligo are phototherapy, anti-inflammatory creams and surgical grafting of healthy skin cells to white patches.
