Magnetic particles pull “forever chemicals” from water, even in messy mixtures
A new study reports that specially coated magnetic iron particles can remove multiple kinds of “forever chemicals” (PFAS) from water. The researchers say the particles worked in several real-world water sources and could be reused, cutting PFAS levels by up to 95.4% under the tested conditions.
