Some Australian teens disclosed online sexual victimisation to AI more than authorities
A nationally representative survey of 1,894 Australian adolescents found that 14.9% had experienced online child sexual victimisation before age 18. Among reported cases, disclosure to an AI system was more common than disclosure to authorities, including police, teachers and online reporting platforms.
