Review examines whether exercise lowers fall risk in people with Parkinson’s disease
This systematic review examined whether exercise-based interventions reduce fall risk in community-dwelling people with Parkinson’s disease. Across ten included systematic reviews, exercise was associated with improvements in motor function, gait, balance, and postural stability, and pooled analyses suggested a reduction in fall-related risk measures.
