Dimming night lights could help more young salmon cross California's delta
A study estimates that removing artificial light at night across California's Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta could help more juvenile Chinook salmon survive their journey to the ocean. Depending on migration conditions and the fish's response to light, the reduction could allow up to 1,123 additional successful migrants per million attempts.
