A simulated multi-drone system used Wi-Fi signal measurements to estimate survivor locations in conditions with substantial noise. At a specified noise level, it reduced position-error and outlier measures compared with two other approaches, while spatial resampling shortened processing time.
A questionnaire study of 146 people examined reactions to sixth-generation mobile networks that can sense people and their surroundings. Acceptance depended strongly on the setting and was linked more to trust, clear rules, transparency and user control than to sensing capabilities alone.
Researchers developed a drone-based system that recognized American Sign Language gestures with 98.63% accuracy on a combined dataset. The system is designed to support sign-to-speech and speech-to-sign communication where fixed cameras or other communication infrastructure are unavailable.
