Study links genetic diabetes risk and alcohol intake with Dupuytren’s disease

Researchers analyzed human genetic data from large European-ancestry studies to examine whether diabetes, alcohol intake, obesity-related traits, or smoking might affect the risk of Dupuytren’s disease. Genetic liability for diabetes and higher genetically predicted alcohol intake were associated with a slightly higher risk, while obesity traits and smoking intensity showed no convincing association.
