The Topological Origin of k = 3: Why Geometry Fixes What 4D Dynamics Cannot Reach

Open access0 citations

Abstract

We close the gap left open by Paper I (MCCT) regarding the compaction exponent k. We present two independent topological derivations of k = 3: (A) Kaluza-Klein dimensional reduction, and (B) dS/CFT holographic scaling. Both give k = 3 exactly. We also present three attempts to obtain k = 3 from the 4D Einstein equations lifted into 7D. These attempts do not work — not because the mathematics is broken, but because the 4D dynamical laws do not apply in seven dimensions. The non-working attempts are not a defect — they are the result. They show that the 4D laws of Einstein, valid with extraordinary precision on the brane, do not extend to the bulk. The bulk operates under rules that 4D dynamics cannot reach. The exponent k = 3 is therefore a topological property of the bulk — a count of extra dimensions — not a dynamical one. This paper removes one of the last free parameters from MCCT and establishes a boundary principle: 4D laws are brane laws. They do not extend to the bulk. Contents:0. Contributions1.
