Mental Physics. Neurocybernetics and Psychoacoustics of the Liquid Cooling Environment in a Data Center: The Impact of mCDU Infrastructure Vibration and Noise on Cognitive Processes and Thermodynamic Isomorphism.
Abstract
Abstract. This paper investigates the impact of the unique vibroacoustic environment in modern high-density data centers-shaped by high-speed server fans and mCDU/CDU circulation pumps-on the human nervous system and cognitive processes. This phenomenon is analyzed at the intersection of acoustic physics and neurocybernetics. The analysis demonstrates that overlapping frequency bands (broadband aerodynamic noise >250 Hz and structural hydraulic pulsations 50-100 Hz) induce effects of sensory isolation, stochastic resonance, and vibroacoustic entrainment within the cognitive apparatus. Furthermore, the study highlights a strict isomorphism between predictive algorithms controlling mCDU circuits and the allostatic hemodynamics of the human brain. Within the framework of Embodied Cognition theory, it is shown that long-term engineering exposure to thermodynamic parameters, noise variance, and fluid dynamics realigns the operator's cognitive schema from a reactive to an anticipatory model, fostering advanced Systems Thinking.
