CVB3 multi-mechanism antiviral methods and base-specific termination model (defensive publication)

Open access0 citations

Abstract

Defensive publication placing in the public domain: (i) a CVB3 lifecycle ODE model with an interferon/ISG arm, a viperin-to-ddhCTP chain-termination arm, a base-specific termination model weighted by the CVB3 genome base composition, mitophagy and immune-effector arms; (ii) a base-set redundancy method for selecting non-redundant RdRp-directed agents; (iii) a titration-to-undetectable (UND) treatment method; and (iv) a diagnostic-gated four-mechanism treatment method with IFN-beta defect-site stratification. Purpose: prior art, to prevent enclosure. Model outputs are illustrative and direction-anchored, not clinical predictions. v1.1 adds an addendum relating this disclosure to the published complete-kinetics model of CVB3 (Lopacinski et al., Cell Systems 2021, doi:10.1016/j.cels.2021.02.004) and clarifying the distinct subject matter: the base-specific termination model, the viperin/ddhCTP arm, the base-set redundancy method, and the titration-to-UND and diagnostic-gated treatment methods.
