Statistical analysis plan (v1.3): Association of sleep quality and smartphone addiction with academic performance among medical students, a cross-sectional study

Abstract

Statistical analysis plan, version 1.3, dated 16 October 2026, for a single-center analytical cross-sectional study of medical students in years 2 and 3 at the Faculty of Medicine, The Hashemite University, Jordan (IRB reference 2600909). The plan was finalized before grades were linked to the questionnaire data. The SHA-256 of the plan file is f506e5b51e66b842460c37a5854a41ac9d50d0cfe841922522a4a9a5cbeb06ee. The plan file and its hash were emailed by the principal investigator to himself and to a co-author at 07:15 (UTC+3) on 16 October 2026, before the grade file was opened. That email is the time stamp. This Zenodo deposit was made later the same day, after grade linkage, and serves as a public archive of the unchanged file. The header line “Status: DRAFT” was not updated before hashing. The file is deposited exactly as hashed. Deviations from the plan are reported separately with the manuscript. The deposit contains no participant data.
