Concept “SAC” and Its Psychological and Pedagogical Significance

Open access0 citations

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the effectiveness of the integrated teaching approach regarding the formation of students’ knowledge of quantum biophysics and socio-adaptive skills. For that purpose, three methods were used: analysis of scientific literature to confirm the concept of SAC, and an experimental study involving 60 students to confirm the effectiveness of the integrated teaching method combining the study of quantum biophysical and psychosomatic aspects of education. The theoretical analysis established that the concept of socio-adaptive competence includes three main components – cognitive, emotional, and motivational – and clarified their interrelationship in the process of forming socio-adaptive competence. Furthermore, specific psychodidactic principles and forms of applying the concept within academic courses were identified, ensuring the integration of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Active engagement with complex quantum biophysical concepts stimulates students’ cognitive processes, increases attentional focus by 28-41%, and fosters self-control skills, while concurrently reducing stress responses (r=-0.31 to -0.42) and enhancing emotional stability (r=0.28-0.38) and cognitive concentration (r=0.33-0.41). It was determined that the integration of psychodidactic principles with practical tasks ensures an optimal interaction between the psyche and physiology, which contributes to an increase in socio-adaptive competence and material retention by 62-68% in the experimental group. The author’s exercises develop cognitive, emotional, and motivational competencies, promote critical thinking, self-regulation, and socio-adaptive behaviour in students. The results can be utilised by educators, educational institution administrators, curriculum developers, and researchers for the implementation and assessment of the development of socio-emotional competence in teachers, with the aim of improving the quality of education, the effectiveness of the learning process, and the psychological well-being of participants in the educational environment.
