Taxiphyllum cuspidifolium (Card.) Z. Iwats. (Bryophyta: Hypnaceae)—A New Addition to the Indian Bryoflora

Abstract

ABSTRACT Taxiphyllum cuspidifolium (Card.) Z. Iwats., so far known from China, Japan, and North America, is recorded for the first time from India based on the specimens collected from Nagaland. A detailed description and illustrations are provided to facilitate its accurate identification. Furthermore, an identification key to the currently accepted Indian species of the genus Taxiphyllum is provided. A distribution map is also provided, depicting the known geographic occurrence of the species.
