From Health Awareness to Sustainable Habits: Integrating Behavioral Science, Digital Wellness, and Continuous Quality Improvement

Open access0 citations

Abstract

Abstract This article presents a theory-informed educational framework for supporting metabolic health awareness, sustainable lifestyle behaviors, and continuous quality improvement. The framework integrates the Health Belief Model (HBM), Social Cognitive Theory (SCT), and the Six Sigma Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) methodology. Drawing on The Insulin Reset e-book and recent peer-reviewed literature published between 2024 and 2026, the article examines practical approaches to nutrition, physical activity, sleep, self-monitoring, and behavior change. It also discusses three educational applications developed by Adaptive Health Intelligence LLC: Insulin Reset, Adaptive Metabolic Reset, and Comfort Intelligence. The article emphasizes health literacy, self-efficacy, achievable goals, and ongoing reflection as foundations for sustainable lifestyle improvement. It describes how behavioral science and quality improvement principles may be integrated into digital wellness education without replacing professional medical care. This work is a conceptual and educational article, not an empirical clinical study or validation of the applications discussed. Its purpose is to provide an accessible, research-informed framework for understanding and supporting long-term wellness behaviors.
