Abstract

The purpose of the study is to identify the psychological mechanisms through which extremist and terrorist organizations exert destructive influence on the personality of an internal affairs officer, as well as to determine the most effective ways to prevent this phenomenon. To achieve this goal, the following tasks are addressed: to characterize the concept and essence of the psychological influence of extremist structures; to identify the personal risk factors of internal affairs officers; to examine the technologies of manipulative persuasion used by recruiters; to analyze the methods of forming information and psychological resilience in individuals; and to formulate practical recommendations for improving preventive measures. The subject of the study is the psychological mechanisms of the influence of extremist ideologies and methods of psychological prevention in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The methodological basis of the study is based on general scientific and special methods of cognition. The novelty of the work is determined by a comprehensive approach to the study of the problem: for the first time, an attempt has been made to systematize the psychological mechanisms of recruitment in relation to the specifics of the professional activity of an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and an author's classification of risk factors has been proposed, taking into account the specifics of service in law enforcement agencies.
