The genome sequence of ivy broomrape, Orobanche hederae Duby (Lamiales: Orobanchaceae)
Abstract
We present a genome assembly of Orobanche hederae (Ivy Broomrape; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Lamiales; Orobanchaceae). The assembly consists of two haplotypes with total lengths of 2,362.87 megabases and 2,355.77 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (98.77%) was scaffolded into 19 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial sequences have lengths of 649.84, 357.08 and 76.21 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 88.56 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
