The Orbital Enclosure: SpaceX, Planetary Markov Blankets, and the Impasse of Contemporary Astrobioethics

Open access0 citations

Abstract

This working paper formalizes the commercial capture of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) as an anthropogenic restructuring of the Earth-system's planetary Markov blanket. Drawing upon the Free Energy Principle (FEP), multiscale active inference, and contemporary astrobioethics, we examine how mega-constellations induce sensory occlusion and kinetic degradation (Kessler Syndrome as entropic phase collapse). We critique the procedural limitations of institutional planetary protection (COSPAR, UN COPUOS) and formulate a threefold tripod of immanent resistance: micro-somatic boundary maintenance, Kierkegaardian meso-temporality, and topological sovereignty at the Kármán line.
