Color Alleviation in Hybrid Electrospun‐Electrosprayed Magnetic Paper
Abstract
ABSTRACT Chromatic alleviation on magnetic paper is achieved through the sequential application of electrospinning and electrospraying techniques. By embedding the brown‐colored oleic acid‐coated superparamagnetic Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticles (NPs) within polyethylene oxide/poly(L‐lactide) (PEO/PLLA) blended microparticles via electrospraying and further integrating the latter within electrospun cellulose acetate microfibers, a composite material was engineered to exhibit both magnetic responsiveness and optical neutrality. The process enabled homogeneous distribution of magnetic microparticles without compromising the structural or visual integrity of the fibrous network. The resulting hybrid material demonstrates homogeneity in respect to its magnetic properties, superparamagnetic behaviour, and ability to be attracted by an external magnet, while maintaining the appearance of conventional white paper. The presented approach involving the integration of magnetic additives into visually neutral, fibrous substrates, unlocks new opportunities toward the development of multifunctional, magnetically active substrates for secure document technologies and related fields.
